Marketing and putting myself out there is definitely not my strong suit. In fact, I have been more focused on other aspects of my creativity that photography kind of got pushed to the wayside. Yet, having the opportunity to recharge with a newborn shoot, gave me inspiration and rekindled a joy and love of what I truly love to do.

As a perfectionist, I always want to do my best. I was even nervous, even though Austin is a long-time friend. My daughter tagged along to meet the baby and entertain Henry a bit to get some candid shots of just his sister and his parents. I loved culling thru images and capturing the ones I felt really embraced that special bond we cherish: aka Family.

Sweet Millie was born only two weeks ago and is now the youngest of my dear friends, Austin and Tim. Their son, Henry, held her for the first time during our shoot. He was so cautious, like he was holding a a piece of glass that he didn't want to break. When I asked him what he was going to teach his new sister, his response was always, "I forget."
